Who we are
This smile-preview service is operated by PreviewMySmile ("we", "us"). When you use it through a dental practice's branded page, your preview is provided by Smile Preview (via the PreviewMySmile platform) using our platform. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect
- Photos you upload (your smile photo and optional side angles) and the AI-generated preview images created from them.
- Contact details you provide: name, phone number, email address.
- Consent records: the consent you give before generation, with a timestamp and IP address.
- Basic usage data: pages viewed, referring site, country, and device type — collected first-party, with no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers.
How your photos are used
- Your photo is processed by an AI image model (Google Gemini API) solely to generate your smile preview. It is not used to train models by us.
- Previews are watermarked and clearly labeled as illustrative simulations — they are not medical predictions.
- Photos are never sent by email. The practice and you receive a secure link; photos can only be viewed after verifying a one-time code sent to your email.
Who sees your information
The dental practice whose page you used receives your name, phone, email, and secure access to your before/after images so they can follow up about a consultation. We (the platform operator) have technical access for operating and supporting the service. We do not sell your information, ever.
Retention & deletion
Uploaded photos and generated previews are automatically deleted from our systems 90 days after creation. Contact details are retained so the practice can follow up, until you or the practice request deletion. To have your photos or details deleted at any time, email [email protected] from the address you signed up with — we action deletion requests within 7 days.
Storage & security
Data is stored on our servers with access limited to the platform operator. Access to previews requires email verification (one-time codes). All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
Your rights
You may request a copy of your data, correction, or deletion at any time via [email protected]. If you are in Canada, these rights are per PIPEDA; other jurisdictions' equivalent rights are honoured on request.
Age
The service is intended for adults 18+. Do not use it for anyone under 18.
